Role Description
This is a flexible, onsite role based across various healthcare settings in London. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support individuals with their daily needs, assist clinical staff, and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive care environment.
As we provide 24/7 care services, flexibility is essential. You may be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, depending on service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with daily living activities and promote independence
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Follow care plans and health & safety guidelines
Participate in training and continuous professional development
Skills & Competencies
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of manual handling and health & safety practices
- Understanding of medication support (where applicable)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous healthcare experience (desirable but not essential)
Duties
- Support residents with daily routines and personal care needs
- Assist in implementing individual care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
- Uphold safeguarding, dignity, and respect in all aspects of care
- Contribute to a positive and supportive care environment
Requirements
- Genuine interest in working within the healthcare sector
- Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Caring, reliable, and professional attitude
- Flexible availability, including weekends and night shifts
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to follow care plans accurately
- Basic IT skills for record keeping
